All the classes at Randwick Yoga Space are traditional hatha yoga classes with the emphasis on linking the movements and postures into the breath in order to focus and calm the mind
Vinyasa yoga is a dynamic style class where the postures flow from one to the next on the breath. In this class we play with different versions of traditional postures, often adding in strength work and inversions. Basic experience such as knowledge of the sun salute sequence (surya namaskar) is required.
Hatha yoga is a medative style of practice using traditional yoga postures and breath work to create strength and flexibility in the body and a calm and focused mind. Suitable for everyone
Restorative yoga uses very gentle postures with a lot of props to ease the body into deep releases and to empty the mind so it can sit in the space of deep relaxation. Suitable for everyone especially those suffering from physical and mental illness and injury.
Beginners classes cover all the foundations of the yoga practice and run on a 6 week cycle so each week a new aspect of the practice is explored. Students are welcome to join at any time and encouraged to attend 6 weeks consecutively in order to learn all the foundations. Suitable to those completely new to yoga and those wishing to refresh their knowledge
